Julia Fiona Roberts was born in Atlanta on the 28th of October, 1967 in the home of Betty Lou Bredemus and Walter Grady Roberts. Julia Fona Roberts is the fourth generation Roberts that resided in Atlanta. Early in his life the father of her mother became obsessed with theater. When he was a college student studying at Emory University from 1952 to 1954, he was a part of numerous productions. After joining the airforce In 1953, he starred in an airforce production in Biloxi along with Betty Lou Bredemus. Eric Anthony was their first born. The couple was married in the year. Walter was studying at Tulane University, New Orleans Louisiana. In the year 1957, they left the airforce and Walter began studying at Tulane University. Walter was recruited as a technician by Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio to assist on the stage of Bum Bum and His Buddies in Decatur Georgia. Walter and Betty Lou financed their own production of the local Sunday morning show for children, Bum Bum and His Buddies. They also founded the six-year Actors and Writers Workshop later in the year. The couple had another two children, Lelisa Billingsley (1965) (also named Lisa) as well as Julia Billingsley (1967) (also know by the name Julie).
