Wilson was a professional sports performer after she and her then boyfriend went to WCW at the backstage. After accompanying Scott Steiner into the ring for a couple of weeks after which she was in the business for almost 10 years. In addition to competing in WCW, Wilson was also managing competitors such as David Flair, Billy Kidman, The Filthy Animals, and Shane Douglas. Wilson joined WWE just a few months after WWE acquired WCW. Her sporting ability and passion for entertainment meant that Wilson was a great choice to WWE during a time the industry was experiencing its most active period. Wilson's close relationship with Stacy Kibler who was her biggest opponent and sometimes a friend, made her an important figure in WCW's invasion of WWE.
