Lisa Edelstein was an American actress, best known for her role as the main character of Fox's House medical show. Growing up with Jewish conservatives in Wayne, New York City was the place she went to pursue her studies in theater at Tisch. Then, in the course of time she was active in the club scene, making enough splashes to get seen by the media and while also becoming conscious of the devastating effects of AIDS. Then she used her experience along with her fame and training to write and compose an original musical entitled Positive Me as well as to appear in the show. Shortly thereafter she landed a job at MTV as host of Awake to the Wild Side. When the show was over the show, she began appearing on films and television productions initially in smaller parts, but gradually establishing her place as an actor.
